Graphics or GFX is a collective term that refers to the pixelated game graphics that make up all visual facets of Graal's interface.

Most graphics are regulated and created by Graal's Graphics Administration Team led by Coco, though players are able to contribute gfx via player aesthetics.

Players can upload 5 common categories of gfx to Graal's servers: heads, bodies, shields, swords, and guild pictures (images/photos are auto-pixelated to 175 x 175 pixels). Graal is unique in that players can fully customise their in-game look with external or personal graphics, though there are strict rules on what can and can't be uploaded to Graal's servers. Almost all shield and sword graphics are player-made. Players can occasionally contribute to other categories of gfx, such as Hats, Mounts, Furniture, Activities, and Food, when gfx submissions are open (usually for events like Christmas).

Gfx can be both animated or still. Files ending with (.png) denote still gfx, and files ending with (.gif) denote animated gfx. Files ending with (.jpg) denote web graphics. Since Graal is an online game, all gfx must contain only web recognised colors/colours excluding pure black and pure white (as those shades are used for in-game transparency). If uploaded gfx contains unrecognisable colors, the game will automatically map those colors to the closest web safe colors.

All gfx editing is done on a micro-pixel level, in that the size of 1 pixel is 1. However gfx in the game is often scaled (example: player profiles). It's also possible for PC players to extract unscaled gfx directly from the game.

The style of Graal's game graphics has evolved since its inception in 1998, more so from 2010 to the present. The game still maintains its signature 2D gfx and gameplay.
